Chakra Meditation – Harmonise Your Heart
A good way to do this meditation is to record these words and then play them when you wish to relax and rebalance.
Find a comfortable position and turn of all stimuli so that you are peaceful, quiet and beginning to relax. Take three deep diaphragmatic breaths into your belly relaxing into your chair or bed. Feel the connection, allowing all tension to release from all your muscles. Place your hands on your stomach and feel them rising and falling with each breath. As you breathe in allow your abdomen to rise and as you breathe out, let it fall. Focus all your attention now on your breathing. That’s right. Breathe in through your nose and sigh out gently from your mouth. Breathing slowly and deeply. Breathe in more relaxation and breathe out all tension and stress. Feel yourself slowing way down. Notice how your slow breathing is beginning to induce a wonderful state of deep relaxation. Breathing in and breathing out.
In and out. In and out.
Notice how you are twice as relaxed as you were a moment ago.
Allow all the cares of the world to take care of themselves all by themselves. As you are relaxing deeper you can feel yourself drifting in to a more relaxed state of being, now breathing in relaxation and sighing out all tensions, any thoughts that were bothering you, just disappearing for the time being into a balloon above your head (to retrieve should you to do so once your meditation is over). This relaxation is time just for you, so you can let all those thoughts go while you focus on your breath.
You feel a warm wonderful sensation of relaxation in your body as you allow all the tension to just float away, drift away. Your eyelids have become heavy and it feels good to close your eyes and just rest in the quiet of your own inner awareness. Allow your jaw to relax and hang loose and let go of any tension you might be carrying there. You might notice a warm feeling spreading down your neck, now all the way down your spine into your lower back, like a flow of comfort, peacefully moving through you and soon you get the feeling that you don’t even have to be aware of it anymore as you let your body shift into automatic relaxation.
You may feel this wonderful relaxation in your shoulders, spreading down your arms to your fingertips. Allow this feeling of comfort to enter your chest now and relax all your internal organs, breathe into them and let any tension go. Feel the flow of comfort spreading through your stomach down to your legs into your thighs, knees and calves and all the way down to your toes. Every muscle in your legs now is limp and relaxed. Feel your entire body now from your head to your toes relaxed. You are completely relaxed now, nothing to do and no place to be, just here in this time just for you. Connect with your breath, focus on the way the oxygen slowly travels thought your whole body and energises it.
Now visualise a rainbow light entering the top of your head allowing it travel throughout your body and permeating down to your cellular level connecting you to the cosmos.
See in your mind’s eye a luscious meadow and find yourself walking with the warmth of the sun caressing your skin creating a sense of comfort and wellbeing. In the distance you see a beautiful old mansion house with wonderful gardens. As you walk closer to the gardens you become more and more relaxed with each step you take. Your breathing is slower and longer, going down deeper and deeper… more relaxed, letting go of all tension.
Now, as you enter the grounds of the old house you have an urge to remove your shoes and allow your feet to draw up the earth’s energies, which permeate throughout your body mingling with those of the cosmos creating a wonderful connection to all of life around you. You feel a magnificent sense of calm and peace,
becoming more and more relaxed as you walk around the garden inhaling the scent of the beautiful flowers as you go… deeper and deeper into relaxation. In the distance you see a large fountain and make your way towards it. When you reach the fountain you sit on the edge and dip your bare feet into the reviving, refreshing water.
As your feet touch the water it turns to a reddish brown. This water sends the colour vibration up through your feet, ankles, knees, thighs and up to your perineum which is your base chakra. This coloured water is clearing away anything that is not for your highest good and is now balancing this chakra, which is your foundation and sense of belonging. It is your survival instinct, connection with mother earth where you ground, derive pleasure and your sexuality. See your root chakra connecting you to the ground below. Breathe into your ‘roots’ and see them being nourished from deep below the earth grounding you in the here and now. Feel mother earth supporting your existence unconditionally. Once your base chakra is cleansed and in alignment then the fountain water begins to balance your sacral chakra below your belly button, with the water turning a wonderful vibrant orange, cleansing and balancing. This chakra it is related to your creative
impulse where you can fulfill your inspirations.
Then it’s the turn of the solar plexus chakra (above your belly button and below your ribcage) drawing in the yellow of the sun, cleansing and balancing to release all that is no longer needed. This is the seat of your personal power, self-esteem and ego. This is the chakra of self-control and enhanced energy, your power house, the home of your self-confidence and self-esteem. Feel your power getting stronger – to help and nurture others and your environment.
Next the water turns a beautiful green for your heart chakra. The location of this chakra is in the center of your chest, right above your heart. It represents compassion, love, confidence, expansion, acceptance, openness, trust and inspiration. This chakra deals with all forms of love, directed towards others and towards yourself in the form of compassion and empathy. Breathe into your heart, and see it soften. Feel it expanding outward and gently caressing everything it touches just like the air you breathe, sending loving kindness and compassion to all creation.
The water now turns blue for your throat chakra located in your throat. This is where you communicate what your heart is feeling – your self-expression and personal truth, assisting you expressing yourself in clear and honest ways. Feel, sense and know the water is cleansing and balancing this chakra so that you speak with authenticity and clarity.
Next the water turns a gorgeous indigo to cleanse and balance your third eye, located in the middle of your forehead. This chakra is about light and your inner vision, divine understanding, wisdom and intuition. See the deep indigo color bathing your chakra, bringing clarity, insight and understanding, and heightening your intuition so that you are guided to make the correct choices for you.
Finally the water turns a beautiful violet colour to bathe and balance your crown chakra on the top of your head, which is where your ‘knowing’, and intuition awareness of Oneness with Source, devotion, inspiration, and conscious alignment with All That Is comes from. This chakra is the highest one. It is the chakra of
spirituality and higher consciousness. This is where you can connect with something that is larger than life and the essence of life itself. Breathe into this chakra and feel it opening up to the sky above and gently harmonising you with the rest of creation.
Now see a column connecting all the chakras together. Feel yourself surrounded by a technicolour of rainbow light which gives you a sense of comfort, balance and wellbeing throughout your body and into your aura (energy field which surrounds your physical body). Slowly bring your hands together and press the palms of your hands together in front of your heart. Feel this delightful energy in your hands and visualise it entering your heart and permeating your whole being. Every single inch of your body is charged with the energy of self-love and acceptance.
Now all the chakras are harmonious and aligned then imagine all the colours returning to the fountain swirling around like a kaleidoscope. Mixing and blending to ensure harmony throughout.
Give thanks to mother nature for restoring your chakras to their optimal function. See the seven colors, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet feeling their support, nourishment, strength, love, truth, insight and the connectedness of the root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye and crown chakra.
Now you are restored to equilibrium you choose to take your leave on a different path from the gardens to return to the glorious meadow where you started your journey. Bringing your focus back to the rising and falling of your breath. Continue focusing on the breath. Becoming more awakened and alert with each step until
you are ready to open your eyes. Open your eyes taking a deep breath through your nose and exhale like a sigh from your mouth. Bring yourself back to the present time in your own room on your chair or bed.
